Project management activities span the project’s lifetime, they aim towards the control of the project, i.e. ensure that the project will meet the technical and business goals as set out in the objectives, and to deliver these information to the European Commission as required. They further aim towards the effective coordination of the work during all phases of the project, towards the supervision of the contents and the quality of the deliverables, as well as the compliance with the project’s timetable. Project management thus consists of the management, organization and technical monitoring of the project in accordance with well-established procedures. In addition, financial management and control of the project’s resources are included.
